“This year we have been forced to call all hands on deck, to fight the monster of ignorance, illiteracy, homelessness, and the spirit of lack. This year, I am proud to return to my first home where as a child I experienced a life of instability. I was Born in Brooklyn and raised in Queens. Now the Book Bank Foundation movement and I are here for a re-birth of the spirit of the lost, lonely, and forgotten. Our scale is small but our size is big. Our hearts and passion for helping is bigger than the disease of homelessness and illiteracy. This year we had to take a step back in order to push the movement forward. Shelter from the Streets will continue to bring resources, inspiration and light to the people.”- Glenn Toby, Founder of The Book Bank Foundation.
